TRIANGLE U12's WIN TOBERMORE ACADEMY 5 A SIDE TOURNAMENT

Triangle took two teams to the U12 tournament at Tobermore last Monday night. Triangle United went through their group stages unbeaten, winning their group and progressing to the semi- final. Triangle Youth came runner up in their group and went through to semi final. Fate had it that both Triangle teams met in the semi final.
In a match that was competitive, Triangle Youth scored first through Dean Vauls, minutes later United equalised through Joel Bradley.  In the last few minutes Triangle United were awarded a penalty which Brad Surgeoner converted.
In the final Triangle United came up against Glebeside,  Triangle scored first through Joel Bradley but in the final seconds Glebeside equalised.
The game went to extra time and penalties with Luke Forgrave the hero saving two.

Well done to both Triangle teams on the night

Triangle United: Luke Forgrave, Joel Stanbridge, Jordan Taylor, Joel Bradley, Brad Surgeoner and Ryan Hunter.
Triangle Youth: Ryan Malcolmson, Todd Moore-Wilson, Dean Vauls, Glen McLaughlin, Matthew Steele and Ryan Adams.

A special mention from Triangle U12's to our sponsor McWilliams Industrial for a donation for a new strip. Many Thanks.

Triangle Stars

Triangle FC U13’s travelled to Tobermore to take part in their annual 5-a-side competition. This year the squad fielded three teams, Stars, United, and Youths with some new faces appearing for the first time. The new faces included new players who bring great talent to the squad and two new coaches on the night. All three teams reached the semi-finals with Triangle Stars and Youths reaching the final itself. The final was decided by one goal from Gideon Cordiner leaving Triangle Youths the tournament winners. During the awards Captain of Triangle Stars Harry Shaw was made man of the tournament. A great night’s football away from homework and studying was enjoyed by the boys, the coaches and parents. Thanks to Tobermore Academy for hosting the event.

Scorers on the night were; Simon Curry(1), Jay Hamilton (1), Chrissy Milligan (2), Archie Quinn (3), Gideon Cordiner (3), Ryan Campbell (5), Reece Louden (1), Harry Shaw(1), Dean Murray (1) and Craig Moore (2).

On a lighter note...

Jose Mourinho had nothing on the coaching skills of COLIN HAMILTON & KEITH WILLIS who lead their boys all the way to the final without conceeding a single goal and are reported to be strongly linked with the vacant managers jobs at Glentoran & Derry City.......
