The match started off with Tobermore scoring within two minutes. Triangle equalised when Katelyn
McKane fired in a low range shot on the ten minute mark. James Richardson, Katelyn McKane, Stefan
Boyd and Conor Grundon gave the Tobermore backs trouble all morning and it was Grundon who netted
from a sweetly hit hard shot. The Tobermore team rallied and scored to make the score 2 -2 at half
time.
Again the Tobermore boys scored early in the second half. This seemed to stir the Triangle team
and with Andrew Wisener, Markus Condron, Conor O'Hare and Dylan alls in defence Tobermore’s attack
became more ineffective. Corey McMullan and Nicky Kerr also started putting their bodies on the
line and frequently were fouled on and off the ball. The next Triangle goal came through another
screamer from Grundon. Richardson unluckily missed from long range and then McKane netted her
second. The Triangle team then forced a corner wide on the right. McMullan curled the ball in to
the box where O'Hare rose to head past the diving Tobermore keeper. Tobermore got a late goal deep
in stoppage time to take the final score to 5 - 4 in the Triangles favour.
This was a great battling performance from Triangle and from Reece Gordon in nets to the forwards
all players contributed to a very satisfying result.
