Signed up with Triangle FC Adam Henry looks forward to his first day.

Triangle School of Soccer has begun the Spring session will run until 14th June.

The School provides an introduction to soccer for boys and girls aged between 6 and 13. Throughout it’s existence the constant aim of the School has been to allow children to have fun playing soccer, to help them to develop sound basic skills, to increase their enjoyment of the game and to provide a foundation for them to progress to higher levels. “Graduates” of the Triangle School of Soccer are now to be found playing in most local youth teams. Triangle FC run league teams from Under-11 to Under-17 and compete very successfully in the Coleraine and District Youth League Mid-Ulster Youth League and the East Antrim Youth League. Boys from this system have gone on to represent both County Antrim and County Londonderry teams in the Milk Cup, to represent Coleraine in the Foyle Cup and are involved in other prestigious tournaments.

The Triangle School of Soccer will run on Saturday mornings at Rugby Avenue playing fields. New members of all ages are particularly welcome. Places are limited, due to pitch size and the need for an appropriate coach: child ratio, and are allotted on a first come first served basis. Any parents wishing to enroll their children should ensure that they attend at least 15 minutes before the training session commences. All children attending the Soccer School have to be registered and registration can be completed on the day. Training for 6-8/9 year olds will take place from 9.30-10.30 and 9-13 year olds will train from 11.00-12.30. Currently the training will be on the all weather pitch therefore trainers are the appropriate footwear. The School is run entirely by volunteers and it operates a child protection policy. New coaches and helpers are always needed and full training and support will be provided. Further information, including requests for registration forms, can be obtained by calling 028 70835146 after 6.00 pm.

Update

TESCO VOUCHERS FOR SCHOOLS

We are currently collecting Tesco Vouchers for Schools. One of our main expenses in running the club is replacing worn out training kit e.g. baals, cones, bibs, nets etc. The club receives little or no funding and relies entirely on volunteer help. You can help by collecting the vouchers which can exchanged for kit and even professional training lessons. Please bring the vouchers to the soccer school and leave at the desk - thank you.

TRIANGLE TRACKSUITS

Triangle tracksuits can be ordered from the desk.  These tracksuits are predominately black and samples are available for sizing.  Tracksuits cost £30.  We also have a number of Coleraine tracksuits for sale (age 9 only) for £30 also.

LOST PROPERTY

We accumulate an amazing amount of tops and assorted other items of clothing over the season.  We keep it all at Rugby Avenue so if you are missing any items please ask at the desk.  We also still have unclaimed items from last season.

PLAYING SURFACE

Coleraine Borough Council is upgrading a number of grass pitches at Rugby Avenue.  The Soccer School intends to move to grass pitches as soon as they become available.

The weather is now very autumnal, (sometimes wintry) so I would like to remind all young players to wrap up well for your training sessions.  You can certainly wear your favourite team shirt but please put something on over it, or under it, if you can't bear to cover it.

ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CLUB ARE APPRECIATED, WRITE, E-MAIL, PHONE OR CHAT TO

 US AT THE DESK.
